Sab’s INTRODUCTION
Hi Everyone – I’m writing this on Saturday evening, before a lazy Sunday and I’m happy to offer you some Fun English for the weekend!

My 11-year-old son, LΓ©o, LOVES trains, so there are two train idioms for you in today’s FunLetter!

Sometimes, learning English can seem like a very long process, but don’t worry, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Enjoy the English learning ride, and if you think you are running out of steam, Fun English Lessons and Rainbow English School are always here to help. 🀑

ENGLISH IDIOMS: Trains

1) “see the light at the end of the tunnel” ➜ see the possibility of success or happiness, especially after a difficult period

Example: The Covid-19 pandemic has been very hard, but with the vaccine we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

2) “to run out of steam” ➜ to lose the energy or enthusiasm you had before

Example: My campaign to become president started well, but now I’m running out of steam!

PHOTO of the DAY
I publish photos and write about Paris every day. This is today’s photo.

EXERCISE
Write about this photo in English.

What can you see?
Where is it?
What time or season is it?
Can you see any people?
What are they doing?
How do they feel?

Do you like the photo or not, and why?
Would you like to be in the photo?
Where would you prefer to be?

Post your texts in our Fun Facebook Group here, and comment on other people’s posts.
