Sab’s INTRODUCTION
I’m feeling tired right now as it’s 1 o’clock in the morning. I’m going to bed soon. I can’t stop yawning!

See you tomorrow, and sleep well! Oh, and enjoy today’s words. 🀑

WORDS in the NEWS
A journalist today said that Russia was ‘unpredictable’. Vladimir Putin, the Russian president said that the United States was unpredictable, and gave three examples.

DEFINITION
‘unpredictable’
(adjective) B2
changing so much that you do not know what will happen next

EXAMPLE
“The weather in Britain is very unpredictable. One moment it’s sunny 🌞 and the next it’s raining 🌧 !”

IDIOM of the DAY
“It’s raining cats and dogs'”

EXPLANATION
When it is raining a lot, we say ‘It’s raining cats and dogs’!

This is probably the best known English idiom, but be careful: we don’t use it very often!

We say things like ‘It’s pissing it down outside’, but this is not very polite!

We also say ‘It’s pouring.’ This is polite. So, when you come to Britain, don’t forget your umbrella! β˜”οΈ

PHOTO of the DAY
I publish photos and write about Paris every day. This is today’s photo.

EXERCISE
Write about this photo in English.

What can you see?
Where is it?
What time or season is it?
Can you see any people?
What are they doing?
How do they feel?

Do you like the photo or not, and why?
Would you like to be in the photo?
Where would you prefer to be?

Post your texts in our FunLetter Facebook Group here, and comment on other people’s posts.
